Sapling Isle
Privacy Policy

Sapling Isle is designed around offline and on-device processing. The current version does not require a child account, upload learning records, camera frames, audio, or captured media to a developer server, or integrate advertising, behavioral analytics, or cross-app tracking services.

Effective and last updated: 2026-07-20

01

Local Learning Data

Sapling Isle stores the selected language, learning path, lesson progress, and completed units locally on the device so it can restore learning state and show completion. This data does not include a name, birth date, contact details, precise location, or account password.

The current version does not provide child accounts, a developer server, or cloud synchronization. The developer cannot remotely read or restore these local learning records through the app.

02

Camera, Microphone, and Photos

When you enter Fingertip Earth AR and allow Camera access, the app reads the live camera view to recognize a finger and composite augmented content on the device. Camera frames and recognition results are not uploaded to a developer server.

When you actively record an AR video and allow Microphone access, the app adds microphone audio to the video on the device. If Microphone access is denied, sound is not recorded. When you take a photo or finish recording and allow Add Photos access, the result is written to the system photo library. The app uses add-only access and does not read other items in the photo library.

03

Storage, Retention, and Deletion

Language, learning path, and progress remain in the app's local data until the app is deleted from the device. Before deleting the app, confirm whether you still need those local learning records.

While recording AR video, the app creates processing files in the device's temporary directory and removes the temporary video used for saving after the result is successfully added to the system photo library. Photos and videos in the photo library are managed and deleted by you in the Photos app.

04

Network, Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking

Lessons, experiments, and learning records in the current version do not depend on a developer-operated backend. The app has no network interface for uploading child data, learning records, camera frames, audio, or captured media.

The current version does not include third-party advertising, user analytics, crash reporting, or cross-app tracking SDKs, and it does not use an advertising identifier to build user profiles.

05

System Services and User-Initiated Communication

When you actively open the App Store review page, send feedback through an email client, use AirPlay Screen Mirroring, or save media to the system photo library, the relevant Apple system service, network, email provider, or receiving device handles related information under its own privacy policy.

Do not include a child's name, identity documents, account passwords, precise location, private photos, or other unnecessary sensitive information in a support email.

06

Permissions and Choices

You can deny or revoke Camera, Microphone, and Photos permissions in system Settings. Features that depend on the revoked permission, such as the AR camera view, video with sound, or saving media, will not work, while other offline lessons and experiments remain available.

07

Changes to This Privacy Policy

If a future version adds accounts, cloud sync, online services, analytics, purchases, or another feature that changes data handling, this policy will be updated with that release and the effective and last updated date at the top of the page will change.
